Since our race is a National Championship, it will receive national exposure. USATF will be doing pre- and post-race press releases, and La Sportiva, a trail shoe company and race sponsor, has also planned a press release. Articles in nationally recognized running magazines, such as Trailrunner and Running Times, will be submitted, and we will submit to regional magazines, such as Blue Ridge Outdoors, Running Journal, and Our State North Carolina, as well. Several local and regional newspapers have expressed interest in covering the event for our area, and we will contact the local TV news station, WXII 12, about pre-race exposure and race day coverage.
